A large and impressive silver plated wine or water ewer, made by the London firm of Martin Hall & Co. This design is feature on page 181 of the Harry Lyons "Christopher Desser: The People Designer". Although the book does stress that the design is 7 years ahead of the Hukin & Heath period, this set does follow the Elkington designs of the period.
